<p>A village in Uttar Pradesh's Aligarh recently saw a 'scandal' when a man, Rahul eloped with his intended bride's mother days before his wedding which was scheduled to take place in April.</p><p>According to<a href="https://www.news18.com/viral/aligarh-groom-who-eloped-with-mother-in-law-fell-for-this-woman-in-his-village-first-ws-bdkl-9298651.html" rel="nofollow"> </a><em><a href="https://www.news18.com/viral/aligarh-groom-who-eloped-with-mother-in-law-fell-for-this-woman-in-his-village-first-ws-bdkl-9298651.html" rel="nofollow">media reports</a></em>, a probe by cops in the case have now revealed that Rahul had earlier eloped with another woman a year ago from the same village.</p><p>Rahul, who disappeared after running away with the woman who belonged to a neighbouring village, had returned two months later.</p><p>As the woman's family didn't want to take any action against him, they never filed a complaint about the incident.</p>.Assam man kills wife in Mizoram after ‘she elopes with lover’.<p>According to media reports, Rahul took the help of his friends when he eloped with his fiance's mother.</p><p>His friends had escorted the duo to the Kasganj railway station on a two-wheeler to help them run away.</p><p>The police have detained Rahul's friends and his brother-in-law in the case.</p><p>Rahul who hails from Dadon was engaged to a girl from a village in Madrak, but he eloped with his would be mother-in-law days before the wedding.</p><p>The mother-in-law had provided Rahul a mobile phone using which they used to have conversations during which the 38-year-old woman starting taking romantic interest in her 20-year-old soon to be son-in-law.</p>
