'We are distressed by Faissal’s hurtful and misleading portrayal,' Aamir Khan & family react to allegations

While celebrities usually maintain a boundary between their private lives and the public eye, especially on matters that may bring harm or controversy, Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan and his family have broken their silence. In a rare and heartfelt statement, they have spoken out against Faissal Khan’s hurtful and misleading account of his close family.

The statement comes after Faissal Khan’s explosive media interviews, where he targeted his family members, including brother Aamir Khan, mother Zeenat Tahir Husain, and sister Nikhat Hegde. The family said that this is “not the first time" he has misrepresented events, prompting them to clarify their position and reaffirm their unity.

Issuing a media statement, they said, “We are distressed by Faissal's hurtful and misleading portrayal of his mother, Zeenat Tahir Husain, his sister, Nikhat Hegde, and his brother, Aamir. As this is not the first time he has misrepresented these events, we feel it necessary to clarify our intentions and reaffirm our solidarity as a family.”

According to the family, all actions related to Faissal were made together, based on input from several healthcare professionals, with his best interests at heart.

“It is important to share that every choice regarding Faissal has been taken collectively as a family, in consultation with multiple medical professionals, and has been based on love, compassion, and a desire to support his emotional and psychological well-being. For this reason, we have refrained from publicly discussing the details of a painful and difficult period for our family,” read the statement.

In the statement, Aamir and his family request that the media show empathy and refrain from turning a private matter into salacious, inflammatory, and hurtful gossip.

The statement was jointly signed by numerous family members, including Reena Datta, Junaid Khan, Ira Khan, Farhat Datta, Rajiv Datta, Kiran Rao, Santosh Hegde, Seher Hegde, Mansoor Khan, Nuzhat Khan, Imran Khan, Tina Fonseca, Zayn Marie Khan, and Pablo Khan.

This appeal from Aamir and his family comes amid the growing interest in Faissal Khan's interviews. This is not new, as in the earlier interviews, Faissal has targeted Aamir for his failure and levelled several ill claims. While Aamir and his family previously chose not to comment, this time they've jointly united and shown public solidarity to maintain privacy rather than escalate the situation.
