Not backing down, Ukrainian forces have been advancing in Kherson, while Russian officials said that they had begun moving civilians from its main city.

Meanwhile Russian missile strikes and shelling of energy utilities left more Ukrainian villages, towns and parts of two cities without power last week, Ukrainian authorities said, further tightening an energy noose that Moscow is using to squeeze the country, threatening misery for millions in winter.

Even as we wonder how the country willl rebuild its critical infrastruture, the world has stood by Ukraine, supplying it with arsenal, food supplies, equipment, grants and loans.

The United States pledged the highest support with more than 52 billion euros in military, financial and humanitarian aid to Ukraine since the war began, data from the Ukraine Support Tracker shows, followed by EU institutions (16.2 billion euros), the UK (6.7 billion euros), Germany (3.3 billion euros) and Canada (3 billion euros). India has offered 1 million worth of humanitarian aid and ranks 39th among the top countries that have provided aid to Ukraine.
