A two-day orientation programme and meeting of Karnataka Wikipedia Education Programme will be held at St Aloysius College on February 9 and 10 from 9 am to 5 pm.
The programme is jointly organised by Wikimedia Foundation, USA, Christ University, Bengaluru, St Aloysius College, Mangaluru, Alva’s College, Moodbidri, and Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College, Ujire and Karavali Wikimedians’ Group, stated a press release.
Teachers and students from 20 colleges will take part in the programme. The programme intends to provide training to participants on developing credible content on Kannada Wikipedia.
All India Radio, Mangaluru, programme executive Sadananda Perla will inaugurate the programme on the college premises on Saturday at 9.30 am. College principal Fr Pravin Martis will preside. Resource person Dr U B Pavanaja and Karavali Wikimedians’ president Dr Vishwanatha Badikana will be present.
