The protest in front of Jamia Millia Islamia University in New Delhi ended on Thursday, after four detainees were released by the police. Many injured in protests after a man fired a pistol at a group of anti-CAA protesters on earlier on January 30, and injuring a student, before calmly walking away while waving the firearm above his head and shouting “Yeh lo aazadi” amid heavy police presence in the area, witnesses said. Jamia to pay for treatment of the injured student, reschedule exams for him, said University VC Najma Akhtar.
