Classic French food at ITC Windsor till December 15

Last Updated 14 December 2018, 14:31 IST

Head to Raj Pavilion in ITC Windsor for ‘Tres Magnifique’, an offering of their freshly crafted signature dishes from France. The event is part of their International food promotions that will go on till December 15.

The menu is curated by Soni Kumari Rana, junior sous chef, and features classics like ‘Soupe A L’oignon Francaise’, ‘Risotto of Mushrooms’, ‘Civet De Coq’ and ‘Potato Gnocchi’ with leaf spinach cream in the dinner buffet.

There was also an interactive live station serving desserts like soufflé, sweet and savoury crepes and croque madame.

Rekindle your taste buds with the classic ‘Vichyssoise’, a creamy potato and leek soup with potato crisp and almond butter. The smooth texture of the soup and the crispy potato wafers make it the ideal start to an elaborate meal.

The Vol-Au-Vent Aux Champignons, a starter made with forest mushroom topped with mesclun salad and orange vinaigrette, is a personal favourite. The cheesy feel of the dish makes it an instant hit. It is also one of the fast moving items from the menu, along with the
‘Ratatouille de legumes’.

For the main course, try the ‘Coq au vin’, a braised chicken dish served with fondant potato, and carrot and red wine jus. Though the dish might not look much on the plate, you are quite full halfway through the dish. The succulent and juicy chicken pieces are a mouthwatering experience. Try it with a glass of red wine to enhance the taste.

Keep some space in your tummy for the desserts.

The ‘Une Collection De Petite Friandisestarte Tatin Aux Pommes’ is all you need to fill yourself up. It is an array of chocolate delights that includes Crème caramel, 56% chocolate cremeaux, crème brulee, tart tarin and vanilla eclair -- that lets you end your meal on a sweet note.

The buffet is priced at Rs 1,995+taxes.
