Kaifu is easy on the pocket

It’s quite normal to want to try out a new restaurant this weekend as there are a number of them to choose from. We’ll try to help you out this time. Check out Kaifu restaurant on New BEL Road if you are in the mood for Chinese.

The pocket-friendly place brings you Chinese dishes with a dash of Indian spices.

It’s a pretty place to be at. As soon as you walk in, you will notice intricate wall art and dazzling lights with cosy seats. Kaifu is ideal for a romantic date or a family dinner.

Let’s start with the menu. If you are a non-vegetarian, you’re in for a treat.

You can begin with ‘Kung Pao Chicken’. The stir-fried chicken has just the right amount of salt, sweetness and spice.

The ‘Fish Wrap in Banana Leaf’ and ‘Babycorn Scallion’ are the other starters you can opt for.

If you are someone who enjoys Ramen, the ‘Manchow Soup’ is just perfect for you. The finely chopped vegetables has a generous serving of ginger and garlic which enhances the flavour of the soup. To add a cherry on top, the fried noodles added to it makes it just the dish to satisfy your craving.

To try something new, we recommend the Wonton Soup.

So far, we’ve pleased the non-vegetarians, but fret not! There’s plenty of options for vegetarians to choose from.

Try the ‘Sesame Sweet Chilli Potato’. It’s crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The slight sweet and spicy taste will leave you wanting for more.

For the main course, you can opt for the ‘Meal in a Bowl’. Instead of giving you two different bowls with a gravy and an accompaniment, this one-bowl meal consists of gravy on one half and either rice or noodles on the other.

Given that it’s an Asian restaurant, the ‘Thai Curry’ is a must-try.

You might not have a sweet tooth but the desserts here are not worth missing. Kaifu’s Mud Pie and Baileys Cheesecake are the two that we highly recommend. The cake melts in your mouth and you will have no choice but to order for another.
