"Being in a profession where I have to work almost every day of the week, I don’t have fixed off days. Sometimes I consider Monday and Tuesday as my weekends!

According to me, a weekend should be a time when I don’t get calls about work and have no commitments to fulfil. It should be all about spending time with people I love and of course, with myself. Since my family doesn’t stay with me, I spend most of my time at home just lazing around.

If I wake up early, I generally hit the gym. This is then followed by a healthy meal and relaxing for a bit. By evening, I head out for a movie at a multiplex. I generally go alone. If I am at home, I spend all my time on Netflix. I try to avoid this.

Since I am busy throughout the week, I find it extremely important to have some ‘me’ time on weekends. That is why I do most of the activities by myself. This perhaps can also be because my family has always emphasised on being independent; I was taught to do things on my own. It might seem weird but I also go for coffees alone. It gives me ample time to introspect.

Though I love going for long drives, I avoid these on Mumbai roads. The traffic can kill one’s love for driving. I usually go for a spin on weekends to Pune. There, I head to the ‘Osho Ashram’ to meditate and regain my energy.

My friends and I play cricket on a regular basis during the weekend. I am a health freak and look for different ways to keep myself fit, cycling and jogging being two of them.

Having said that, I am a foodie too. I can’t stay hungry. I need to keep munching on something. This is the reason why one can find snacks even in my car. My comfort food is ‘Dal Chawal’. ‘Aloo Paratha’ and ‘Rajma Chawal’ are other dishes I love binging on.

I am also a travel and adventure enthusiast. I am grateful that my profession allows me to move around the world. I love snow and mountains. There is something about such
places that attracts me. Whenever I am travelling, I am always on the lookout for activities like bungee jumping.

I have made a few friends in the industry and we often catch up at my house. We cook together, play games like chess and have jamming sessions.

With various activities and some quality time with myself, my weekend is complete and I am ready to kick start another week afresh.
