It saw the participation of 140 sportsmen and women from the college. The sports activities of the college were formally inaugurated by inducting the sportsmen and women of various teams of the college as sportspersons of the college. Principal Rev Daniel Fernandes S J inaugurated the activities.

Rev Daniel extolled the students to excel both in sports and academics and urged the sportspersons to remember and practice the spirit of sportsmanship in their words and deeds.

The Principal announced that grace marks in internal assessment will be given by the sports-in-charge to students who represent the college sports teams and who excel.
He also congratulated the sportsmen and women for their efforts in bringing glory to the college by winning many tournaments in the past. Lily David, the Dean of Studies, spoke about developing a rapport between the sports students and the faculty. She also advised the students not to miss classes and neglect studies.

 Sonia Noronha, the students sports coordinator, lead the captains of various teams in taking the pledge, “to be loyal, disciplined and dedicated to the cause of sports and to bring honour and glory to the college by upholding the prestige of the college in sports arena.”
Earlier, the Sports Director William introduced the State/ University/ India representatives to the distinguished gathering. The coaches of the college teams were also introduced and felicitated. The programme was well attended by heads of various departments, members of the faculty, both teaching and non-teaching, members of students' council, college sports committee, sports representatives of the classes and all sportspersons.

Michelle Bakes, captain of the football team, welcomed the gathering. Sonia Noronha proposed a vote of thanks. A video presentation of the college sports scene was also presented on this occasion. The entire show was compered by Prateek Khincha.
