AP to release 9 white papers on achievements

The Andhra Pradesh government will release 9 white papers about the development programmes in the state during the past four-and-a-half years.

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu conducted a review meeting with officials of the planning department at the state secretariat in Amaravati on Wednesday.

They discussed about releasing white papers on the progress achieved in different sectors.

The sectors selected are education, health, water resources management, irrigation projects, human resources development, industries and employment opportunities, service sector, welfare and infrastructure development.

The chief minister said that his government had in 2014 explained state bifurcation issues and challenges in white papers and now the progress achieved in the past four-and-a-half years should be highlighted.

He said that the 9 white papers in Telugu will be released one each daily.

They are to be distributed among people for public debate during Janmabhumi-Maavuru grama sabahas.

The chief minister directed the officials to prepare development plans at state, district, Mandal and village level along with white papers to be placed before the people during grama sabhas to be held in January.
