Cabinet briefed about JK situation

The Union Cabinet on Thursday was briefed about the situation in Jammu and Kashmir following the dissolution of the state's Assembly.

"Though Jammu and Kashmir was not on the agenda of the Cabinet meeting, members of the Cabinet were briefed about the situation," Finance Minister Arun Jaitley told reporters after the meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
