Ravindra Jadeja's wife attacked by a cop after accident

Cricketer Ravindra Jadeja’s wife Reevaba was reportedly attacked by a policeman in Jamnagar following their vehicles' collision on Monday.

According to information available, the incident took place near Saru Section in Jamnagar city of Gujarat. Reevaba was in her car when it rammed into constable Sanjay Karanjia's motorcycle, which according to sources was on the wrong side of the road.

Karanjia stopped Reevaba’s car and started physically assaulting her.

The people in the vicinity intervened to stop the altercation and got hold of the errant police constable.

Reevaba later reached the office of Jamanagar Superintendent of Police where she received primary treatment and filed a complaint.

“It is an unfortunate incident and as a police head, it is worrisome. We have been instructed by the government to initiate strict action against the offender. We have filed an FIR against Sanjay, suspended him and arrested him for the unfortunate incident,” Jamnagar Superintendent of Police Pradip Sejul said.

Ravindra Jadeja is currently in Mumbai for the first qualifier for Indian Premier League with his team Chennai Super Kings, who are set to take on Sunrisers Hyderabad at Wankhede Stadium on Tuesday.
