Popular artist Rihanna tweeted on February 2 about the farmers' protests ongoing in New Delhi for 71 days, asking "why aren't we talking about this?" A day later, young climate activist Greta Thunberg took to Twitter to extended her support to farmers in India. What ensued was a raging battle on social media ensued over these tweets and made the hashtags "India Against Propoganda" and "India Together" trend.
Cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar, along with other players, also extended his support to the farm laws and the government, saying that "Indians know India and should decide for India".
