<p dir="ltr">The Bharatiya Janata Party exhibited a show of strength on Friday as several of the party’s key leaders, led by PM Modi, were present as NDA’s Presidential candidate Droupadi Murmu filed her nomination. </p>.<p dir="ltr">Prime Minister Modi was the first proposer in Murmu’s nomination papers. Four sets of nomination papers were filed by Murmu which carried signatures of chief ministers, MPs and MLAs. This included AIADMK’s O Paneerselvam and M Thambidurai, and JD(U)’s Rajiv Ranjan Singh. Leaders from non-NDA parties YSR Congress and Biju Janata Dal were present as well. </p>.<p dir="ltr">Murmu’s victory is almost certain with non-NDA parties like YSRCP and BJP pledging support to elect her, who will be the first face from the tribal community, and the second woman to be the occupant of India’s highest office at Raisina Hills. </p>
