Shotgun quotes Newton to train guns on PM

Two days after being denied ticket by the BJP, the rebel MP from Patna Sahib, Shatrughan Sinha has slammed the top leadership for showing utter disregard to party patriarch Lal Krishna Advani. Quoting Newton’s third law, Shotgun, as Shatru is fondly known, trained his guns on Narendra Modi-Amit Shah combine saying, “For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.”

In a series of tweets aimed at slamming BJP top leadership, Shatru wrote about his mentor Advani, “He is a father figure & no one can approve of such a treatment to a father figure. What you & your people have done with me, is still tolerable. I am able and capable of answering you people back in the same coin…remember Newton’s third law…”

Shatru’s angst stems from the fact that Advani, who made the Patna-born actor join the BJP in 1991, has been denied Lok Sabha ticket from Gandhinagar, “a seat Advani ji has been representing since 1991.”

In another tweet, Shatru came down heavily on the BJP president Amit Shah. “...That too through the replacement of Mr Advani by none other than the man who is also the president of the party but whose image or personality is no match nor a patch on him. This has been done deliberately & intentionally & has not gone down well with the people of the country,” tweeted Shatru, who has bid goodbye to his parent party and is likely to join Congress.

Also known as Bihari Babu, Shatru was Union Cabinet Minister in the previous Vajpayee regime, having held the portfolio of Health, besides Shipping. Having fallen out with the present BJP leadership, Shatru on Sunday had a word of advice for Modi too. “Sir Ji, instead of playing Rafale Baba and Chalis Chowkidar, which has already fallen flat on its face, it’s high time & right time to take some corrective measures (if you still can) & go for damage control soon… sooner the better…” he tweeted.

While speaking to Deccan Herald on Sunday, Shatru showed no sign of remorse for disassociating from the BJP. “Mere chahne wale kam na honge, teri mehfil mein lekin hum na honge, (There will be no dearth of my fans. But I won’t be there in your gathering),” said Shatru, in his inimitable style before parting ways with the saffron camp.
