JCCJ nominee gets notice for taking selfie while voting

JCCJ candidate's selfie of him casting his vote. 

Janata Congress Chhattisgarh (Jogi) candidate from Raipur Rural assembly constituency, Om Prakash Dewangan, gets a notice for violation of election code of conduct. FIR has also been registered against him.

The notice was served after he posted a selfie of him casting his vote on social media site Facebook, violating the confidentiality of voting and the model code of conduct. He uploaded the photograph after casting his vote on November 20, in the second phase of polling.

The complaint was lodged by Assistant Returning Officer, Raipur Rural Assembly constituency.

An FIR was also registered in Khamtarai police station.
