At least now hold PC: BJP’s ‘Shatru’ tells PM

Actor-turned-politician said that Modi will go down in history as the only prime minister in a democratic world who has not addressed a single Q/A session with the media during the five-year-long tenure.

Rebel BJP MP Shatrughan Sinha on Thursday urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to address at least one press conference “before the government changes.”

“Or else, you will go down in the history as the only prime minister in a democratic world who has not addressed a single Q/A session with the media during the five-year-long tenure,” said Sinha, who is sulking for being treated like an ‘enemy’ by his own partymen.

The Lok Sabha member from Patna Sahib, who is likely to join a new political party during Holi, came down heavily on the prime minister through his series of tweets.

“Now that dates have been announced, Sir, ab toh kum se kum ek press conference kar dijiye. A free and fair session, not choreographed, researched or rehearsed and without the press known for Raag Darbari and Sarkari mindset…..”, tweeted Sinha, in his attack on the PM.

A known protégé of BJP patriarch LK Advani, Sinha, through another tweet, asked Modi to allow new and better leadership to take over. “Don’t you think it’s high time and the right time, before the Government changes, that a new, better leadership takes over. And you should come out with all your black, white and grey sides,” tweeted Sinha.

The four-term BJP MP, who has been twice a member of the Rajya Sabha, besides being Lok Sabha member from Patna Sahib twice, is likely to be the Mahagatbandhan candidate from his home constituency in 2019.

On being asked whether he will contest the election as an RJD candidate or a Congress nominee, Sinha shot back in his imitable style: “Waqt aaney de Meherbaan. Hum abhi se kya bataye, kya humare dil mein hai. (Let the time come. How can I reveal now what is going on in my heart).
