JOIN USThe domestic terminal witnessed a power cut from around 3:45 pm after one of the main cables was damaged due to the digging work by the PWD near NH-8, airport officials said.
Though airport operations were being carried out with the help of generator sets which were providing power to the essential systems and facilities.Only air-conditioning system of the airport was affected, they said.
"DIAL has ensured that no essential services are affected at the airport except air-conditioning. DIAL's standby Diesel Generator sets will ensure that the airport operations are not adversely affected," they said.
BSES power failure also occurred for a very brief period for three minutes this morning between 11.07 am and 11.10 am.The airport had witnessed power failure for about ten hours two days back too, sources said.BSES spokesperson said power supply would be restored in a few hours.
