All tests conducted on the 77-year-old Prime Minister were "normal and everything is alright," doctors attending on him said.

"This is a routine evaluation that was done in two parts. He underwent a Stress-Thallium test. It was done in two parts -- one was done at 8 am and the other was done at 12.30 pm," said Dr K S Reddy, personal physician to the Prime Minister.

During the tests, a patient is made to do some exercises and certain assessments are made by doctors to check if the heart is able to take stress or not.

Reddy said, "This is a test conducted to check the functioning of the heart. Dr Singh has undergone a heart surgery last year and this is an evaluation process to ascertain working of his heart."

A team of doctors at AIIMS were involved in the tests. "All tests are normal and everything is alright with the Prime Minister," Reddy said.

A PMO spokesman said several tests were conducted for cardiovascular assessment as a follow-up to his re-do coronary bypass surgery which was performed on him a year ago.
The Prime Minister is back at home and his engagements slated for tomorrow stand as per schedule, he said.

Singh is scheduled to inaugurate a conference of state Chief Secretaries tomorrow morning.

He had undergone a 'beating heart' surgery on January 24 last year to clear coronary blockages.
