Sources in the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), which looks after  online booking of tickets, said that legal action against suspended agents have also been initiated for violating  terms and bypassing cyber  laws. Legal action against agents engaged in blackmarketing includes forfeiting of the money deposited with the railways.
In addition, the IRCTC has also taken other measures to prevent touts from misusing online facility of booking tatkal tickets. These measures include limiting two tickets a day for a single user ID and disallowing online booking by agents during first one hour after  the booking opens at 8 am.

An individual user cannot book more than 10 tickets in a month.  The IRCTC has also constituted a team which keeps an eye on creating new mail IDs with the  intention  of circumventing the system. So, new user IDs are granted after proper verification, and monitored.

According to an IRCTC official, the IDs are being watched, detected and disabled. Those who have lost their user ids have been given the opportunity of creating a new mail ID.
