Ayodhya: Seers, Muslim plaintiffs to meet President

Muslim plaintiffs in the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid Title suits and some prominent Hindu seers would meet President Ram Nath Kovind for daily hearing of the Ayodhya case.

Iqbal Ansari, one of the Muslim plaintiffs, here said on Sunday that he would submit a memorandum to the President urging him to intervene in the matter and ensure daily hearing of the title suits.

Prominent seer Mahant Dharm Das also said that he would urge the President to ensure day-to-day hearing of the matter.

Meanwhile, the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB), the apex body of Muslims in the country, would be holding a meeting on Friday to discuss the Ram Temple issue among other things.

Senior board member Maulana Khalid Rasheed Firangimahali said on Sunday that the AIMPLB meeting in Lucknow would deliberate on the situation arising out of deferment of the Ayodhya hearing by the Supreme Court.
