Telugu TV actress commits suicide

Twenty-one year old Naga Jhansi a budding actress who has played the main role in a successful Telugu sop opera committed suicide by hanging herself to a ceiling fan in her apartment on Tuesday night. Her brother noticed her hanging to the fan on Wednesday morning and called the police. The body has been shifted to Gandhi hospital.

According to Panjagutta police here, Jhansi who was a native of Vadali village of Mudinepalli block of Krishna district in Andhra Pradesh lived in Sairam residency in Nagarjunagar here. Other than playing roles in TV serials she ran a beauty parlour. Jhansi was allegedly was in a live-in relationship with one Mr Surya from past six months and was in severe depression after a break-up.

Even her father Durga Prasad refused to comment on the role of Surya in driving the tinsel town actress to suicide, police believe that her last WhatsApp chat with the boy will provide some vital clues. Her close friends also said that Jhansi stopped acting after the alleged love failure and stayed home.

Her parents in Vadali village who were expecting their daughter to come home for a house warming ceremony on 22 of this month were in a shock. They say that they have no idea about the love affair and are saying that they would have encouraged her to act again to escape the depression. Panjagutta police are investigating the case.
