Teen killed in clashes with forces in Baramulla

A teenage boy was killed in the clashes with security forces in Langate area of frontier district of Kupwara after the end of polling at north Kashmir’s Baramulla parliamentary constituency on Thursday.

Reports said that youth in Mandigam village of Langate protested and clashed with security forces after the polling ended this evening. The forces fired pellets to quell the protests, reportedly resulting in the death of a teen, identified as Owais Mir, a resident of Mandigam.

A health official at the district hospital at Handwara said that the teen had suffered multiple pellet injuries and was declared dead upon arrival at the facility.
