BJP president Amit Shah on Wednesday blasted the Opposition alliance against his party saying the country will have "daily" prime minister if the 'mahagathbandhan' formed the next government.

''There are six PM candidates in the grand alliance....there will be six PMs for six days in a week...with holiday on Sunday,'' he said in a sarcastic vein while addressing booth level workers of the party at Kanpur, about 90 km from here.

The BJP president included Mayawati, Akhilesh, Mamata Banerjee, Sharad Pawar, M K Stalin and H D Deve Gowda in his list of PMs, who would lead once a week.

Shah referred to the SP-Congress alliance in 2017 state assembly polls and said his party had demolished the alliance then and swept the polls.

''We will again defeat the alliance...we will win more seats than 2014,'' he added.

He said the BJP this time was aiming at securing 50 % votes but added, ''We will strive for securing more than 50 %''.

We will win

The BJP chief said that the opposition parties had allied to defeat Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the latter had put a check on corruption. ''Its an alliance of corruption,'' he remarked.

Shah asked the party workers to take the achievements of the Modi government to the people in the rural areas. ''We have done enough to win the polls....you (workers) need to tell the people about the measures,'' he said.
