The temple witnessed heavy rush of devotees in the last two days.

The presiding deity's idol was last evening adorned with 'Thanga Angi" (golden attire) which reached here in a ceremonial procession from Sree Parthasarathy temple at Aranmula.

The Mandala Pooja and Kalasabhishekam rituals were performed by 'Tantri' Kandararu Rajeevaru, who was assisted by temple 'Melsanthi' (Chief Priest) Ezhikode Sasi Namboodiri.

The temple will be closed later this evening after the 'Athazha Pooja' and reopen on December 30 for 'Makaravilakku' festival. The 'Makaravilakku' day falls on January 14.
