Police sources also said a propaganda Compact Disc (CD), suspected to be that of terror outfit al-Qaeda, had been seized in the continuing raids on the PFI activists.

Sajeer and Kamaruddhin were arrested after interrogation during the last two days, police said. With this, the number of those arrested in connection with the attack on Prof T J Joseph on Sunday has gone up to four.

Police also issued Look Out Notices for three absconding accused in the attack -- K K Ali of Cheruvattoor in Ernakulam District, Yunus (30) of Kothamangalm and Nazar (40) of Aluva. Police sources told PTI that Ali was likely to have suffered some injuries during the attack on Joseph and would have gone to hospital for treatment.

Top police sources said the CD, containing brutal scenes of torture and executions, was seized two days ago from the car of one Kunjumon, a PFI activist, who is at large. Some other documents and CDs were also seized.

A case had been registered against Kunjumon under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act, the sources said.

Police have been conducting searches and raids in the residences of PFI activists following the attack on Prof Joseph, a private college lecturer at Muvattupuzha.
Last night, a rifle had been seized by police from the residence of another PFI activist, Ayub and a case registered against him. Fake identity cards and SIM cards were also seized from his residence, police said.

Joseph is facing charges of hurting the religious sentiments of Muslims by preparing a question paper for an internal exam containing some references to Prophet Mohammed.
He had been suspended from the college and arrested in April last. Out on bail, Joseph was attacked by a group of persons when he was returning from a church on Sunday and his right hand was chopped off. Two persons had been arrested on July 5 in connection with the attack.
