<p>Twenty-two-year old Surendra Pasi, a resident of Bahmalpur in Uttar Pradesh's Allahabad district which is about 200 kilometre from Lucknow, had bought a brand new jeans for Rs 700 on Wednesday.</p>.<p>Surendra had no inkling that his new jeans would turn fatal for him.</p>.<p>He was hacked to death by his own elder brother reportedly after he refused to allow the latter to put it on and go out.</p>.<p>According to police sources in Lucknow, the incident occurred on Thursday.</p>.<p>Police said that Surendra's elder brother Rajendra asked the former to let him wear the new jeans for a few hours as he was going out to meet a friend of his.</p>.<p>Surendra, however, refused. The two had a heated argument but Surendra did not accede to the demand.</p>.<p>Furious over the refusal, Rajendra reportedly attacked his younger brother with a knife and stabbed him several times, the police said.</p>.<p>Immediately Rajendra fled. Surendra, who sustained serious injuries in the chest and stomach, was rushed to the hospital but was declared brought dead.</p>.<p>A case was later lodged with the police by the boys' father Phool Chandra.</p>.<p>Police said that a hunt had been launched to nab the culprit. According to the police sources, Rajendra had a criminal bent of mind and had earlier been arrested in several cases, including those of theft and loot. </p>
