Mukhtar Ahmed was a four-year-old during the Spanish Flu outbreak in 1918. Little did he know that years later, he would face another deadly pandemic. The now 106-years-old man was discharged from the Rajiv Gandhi Super Speciality Hospital (RGSSH) after recovering from Covid-19, where his wife, son and another family member also recuperated after contracting the novel coronavirus infection. Interestingly, he recovered faster than his son, who is in his 70s.
In Indore, 100-year-old Chanda Bai returned home after winning her battle against coronavirus. Fittingly, the neighbours gave a round of applause when she returned from the hospital, according to an Economic Times report.

In Andhra Pradesh, a 101-year-old woman recovered from Covid-19. P Mangamma, from Tirupati town, was shifted to Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS) - Sri Padmavathi Mahila Medical College State COVID hospital for treatment after she tested positive. According to The New Indian Express report, the doctors attributed the recovery to her sheer willpower.In Tamil Nadu, 103-year-old Hameedha Bee bravely fought the battle against Covid-19 and recovered. But much to her misfortune, she was allegedly asked by her neighbours to vacate the house. The centenarian lives with her family in Ambur.
