Apple Maps now offers Covid-19 airport travel guidance in India

Apple, earlier in the month, added Covid-19 vaccination centre details in select regions on its Maps app.

Now, the Cupertino-based company has announced to display Covid-19 airport travel guidance directly on airport place cards on Apple Maps.

Apple using the data provided by Airports Council International to offer health measures in place at more than 300 airports worldwide.

In India, Apple Maps offer Covid-19 airport travel guideline details of five metros-- (Kempegowda International Airport) Bengaluru, (Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport) Mumbai, (Indira Gandhi International Airport) Delhi, (Rajiv Gandhi International Airport) Hyderabad, and Chandigarh Airport.

With this, travelers with an iPhone, iPad, or Mac can easily access local airport health requirements, such as face coverings, health tests or screenings, and quarantine guidelines.

Additionally, Apple Maps is offering Covid-19 testing locations and other information such as operating hours, address, phone numbers, and a link to the provider’s website. However, this is limited to select locations.
