This overnight oatmeal looks good, is nutritious and tastes like a delicious strawberry and cream dessert. It is a sweet and tasty dish to start your day with.

DH lists some of the health benefits of strawberries:
Strawberries are rich in antioxidants that can promote heart health.

They reduce the probability of blood clots that have been linked to strokes.

Strawberries contain flavonoids that can prevent cancer and the formation of tumours.

They can improve cognitive functioning.

They can also reduce aging.

Strawberries may lower your chances of developing Type 2 diabetes.

They are rich in potassium, which can lower blood pressure.

Strawberries increase the body's production of fat-burning hormones and can, therefore, help in weight loss.

Ingredients:
1 cup rolled oats

2/3 cup milk

2/3 cup Greek yogurt

1 cup strawberries

Makes two servings

Method:
The night before: Combine the oats, milk, and yogurt in a bowl and stir well. Cover the bowl and place in the refrigerator overnight.

The next morning: Remove the oatmeal from the fridge and uncover. Top with sliced strawberries and a sprinkle of oats. Sliced banana or almonds can also be used to garnish. Serve chilled.
