Pakistan batting great Inzamam-ul-Haq feels that Rishabh Pant could surpass the likes of fellow wicketkeeper-batsmen Adam Gilchrist and M S Dhoni as a match-winner if the 23-year-old can continue with his explosive batting style.

Inzamam, the only Pakistani to have scored 20,000 runs in international cricket, was in awe of Pant's ability to score from different positions and his range of strokes.

Although India lost the 2nd ODI to England on Friday, Inzamam noted that Pant's superb 77 off 44 balls helped India to increase their run rate and churn out a decent total.

Since India resumed its international cricket exploits, Pant has delivered across all formats, with fifties and hundreds across the Australia and England series.

"The one who gave India the boost in batting in the lower order was Rishabh Pant, who scored a brilliant 77 off 40 balls. Because of him, India's run-rate spiked. I have been following him for the last 6-7 months, and the way he is batting and scoring effectively at different positions is amazing," Inzamam lauded the India wicket-keeper on his YoutTube channel.
