PWL franchise names unveiled

 The Pro Wrestling League (PWL), set to begin on December 10, unveiled the names of its six franchises on Saturday.

Oganised and promoted by ProSportify, the tournament promises the participation of world class grapplers. The six city-based franchises are Delhi Veer (GMR Group), Bangalore Yodhha (JSW Group), CDR Punjab Royals (CDR Group and actor Dharmendra), UP Warriors (Lotus Greens), Haryana Hammers (Olive Global), Mumbaiche Garude (Maverick Industries, Mafatlal, Garudacharya)

The league in the inaugural year offers a prize purse of Rs 15 crore. In the inaugural year, PWL will feature a total of 18 ties – 15 in the league phase, two semi-finals and the Grand Finale. Each tie will be contested on the best of nine bouts formats.
