BSY flays Congress manifesto

Terming the Congress’ announcement of scrapping the sedition law in its election manifesto as “extremity of stupidity,” state BJP President B S Yeddyurappa said that no one is in the Congress to advise in a proper way and the manifesto is filled with false assurances which will not come into effect.

Speaking to reporters here on Wednesday, he stated that the BJP will definitely win Hassan parliamentary seat. The party will give tough fight to JD(S) national president H D Deve Gowda in Tumkur. Father and sons should tell as to how many seats the JD(S) will win in the LS polls?, he said.

Ratnaprabha joins BJP

Former chief secretary K Ratnaprabha joined the BJP in the city on Wednesday in the presence Yeddyurappa.

Speaking to media persons, she said that she has joined the party to serve the people. “I have worked in this region earlier. As Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working in the country with a vision, we need to strengthen his hands.
I have not put forth any demand to join the party”, she added.
