Town Municipal Council on Wednesday took steps to supply good drinking water following a report in Deccan Herald, dated July 18, that residents of a main road in the town were supplied sewage mixed drinking water for the past three days.
A few miscreants had broken the drinking water pipeline adjacent to the drainage. As a result the polluted water mixed with the drinking water. The authorities repaired the broken pipe and ensured supply of clean drinking water, said TMC president Rehamatullah Khan and Health Inspector Tayaluru Nagaraj.
