Chikkamagaluru City Municipal Council President K S Pushparaj said that soluble and non-soluble waste will be collected separately from Friday.
Briefing reporters, on Thursday, he said two separate vehicles have been arranged for the same and Dharmasthala Gramabhivruddhi Yojane has been given the responsibility of waste collection.
Manure will be prepared out of the wet waste at Madhuvan extension, Housing board extension, Nallur gate and Ramanahalli crematorium. He further said that 28 kms of road has been asphalted under KMRP project. Five kms of road has been concretised and bridges have been constructed at Undedasarahalli, Kempanahalli and Dantaramakki. s 25.20 crore has been utilised out of Rs 28 crore under the project. An action plan has been prepared towards the repair of major canals, with the remaining funds of Rs 2.80 crore.
Market and MG Road will be developed with the special grants of Rs 20 crore.
