Governor says he is no baby in politics

On queries on whether the political developments in the last week is a deliberate act by the government to divert attention, he said: “I am not a commentator. I am bound by the Constitution of India and also have certain limitations among the powers I enjoy.”

Speaking on the sidelines of  the 78th Indian Air Force Day here, he said that he has been doing his duties efficiently and that even the minutest of the details about the political situation in the State is being reported to President Pratibha Patil.

Responding to a specific question on what his take on the political problems in Karnataka in the last three weeks, he said: “I have been facing problems from the day I came here (he said on a lighter note)... Everything has to be decided on Monday, where the parties must prove their majority.”
