Independent candidate, driver attacked near KR Nagar

Hosahalli Venkatesh, an Independent candidate was assaulted by miscreants on Wednesday midnight.

Both Venkatesh and his driver are admitted to JSS hospital in Mysuru. They are being treated in the ICU.

According to the police, Venkatesh was returning to his house in Hosahalli after a campaign trip on Wednesday night. Two unidentified people stopped his car near Lalanahalli, for kilometers from K R Nagar.

Venkatesh who assumed they were party workers, stopped the car. The miscreants threw chilli powder on Venkatesh and the driver and attacked them. The driver managed to escape and drive to a K R Nagar hospital. From there, they were shifted to JSS hospital.
