<p class="title">Rural Development and Panchayat Raj (RDPR) Minister Krishna Byre Gowda, disclosed that--a Rs 53,000 crore 'Jaladhara' scheme-- is being designed to supply piped drinking water to all villages in Karnataka.</p>.<p class="bodytext">After inspecting water supply projects in Hubballi taluk, on Wednesday, he told reporters that the scheme would be launched in one year's time and would need six years for implementation. </p>.<p class="bodytext">The intent behind the scheme was to increase the dependence on river water and decrease dependence on bore-wells, the minister added. </p>
