Jnanpith awardee Dr Chandrashekara Kambara has been chosen to preside over the 84th Kannada Sahitya Samelana to be held in Dharwad this year.
The fest will be held in Dharwad, on December 7, 8 and 9, 2018.
Speaking to reporters at Gadag, Manu Baligar, president, Kannada Sahitya Parishat, officially announced the selection of Dr Chandrashekara Kambara as the president for the literary and cultural Kannada festival.
Baligar spoke after chairing the executive committee meeting of the Kannada Sahitya Parishat and stated that Dr Kambara was 'unanimously' selected president.
