Annigeri takes charge as Kodagu SP

Manjunath Annigeri hails from Gadag district and joined police department as DySP in 1993. He served in Raichur and Gulbarga districts. Later, he served in CoD, Bangalore. He also served as DCRE, Mangalore DySP. For the last four months, he has been serving as Intelligence division SP in Mangalore. Within few months, he is likely to be promoted to IPS.

Speaking to presspersons, he said: “I have just taken charge as SP and will work honestly.”

He called upon the people to co-operate with the police department in maintaining peace and order in the society. Outgoing SP Shivaprasad was transferred barely 29 days after he took charge as the Kodagu SP, after the government took serious note of his rude behaviour recently.
