Music, dance fest in M'lore from today

Addressing a press meet, he said as part of the festival on November 3, there will be group song by the students of various music schools of Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Kasargod districts followed by dance programme. Alva’s Education Foundation Chairman Dr M Mohan Alva will inaugurate the festival.

Bharathnatyam programme by Lakshmi Parthasarathi Athreya will be held at 7 pm. On November 4, there will be bharathnatyam programme by Nishitha Puttur (6 pm) followed by Koochupudi by Divya Sena of Chennai (7 pm).
On November 6—sitar recital by Ankush Nayak of Mangalore (6 pm) and classical concert by Ravikiran of Manipal (7 pm). On November 7—classical concert by Gayatri Girish of Chennai (5.30 pm), Bharathnatyam by Sheejith Krishna of Chennai (7.15 pm).  On November 8—Classical concert by students of  Krishna Gana Sudha Sangeetha Vidyalayta, Mangalore, Nada Swaraswati Sangeetha Vidyalaya and Nada Sudha Sangeetha Vidyalaya (9.30 am); classical concert by Ranjani Guruprasad (10.30 am); Lecture demonstration by Sheejitha Krishna (2 pm); Thryambak, a special concert by Shree Sundar Kumar, Yogaraj and Palakkad Sriram (4 pm).

The valedictory of the festival will be held at 5.30 pm which will be attended by Pejawar Seer Vishwaprasanna Theertha Swamiji, Coastal Development Authority Chairman Nagaraj Shetty.
Bharatha Mani National Youth Award will be conferred on Sheejith Krishna and Ranjani Guruprasad.
