Pressure mounts on BJP leader V Srinivas Prasad to contest from Chamarajanagar Lok Sabha constituency against Congress in Lok Sabha elections.

Several BJP workers from Chamarajanagar met Prasad at his residence in Mysuru on Thursday, to convince him to contest against sitting MP R Dhruvanarayan.

Prasad represented Chamarajanagar Lok Sabha seats for five times and also served as Minister in Atal Bihari Vajpayee cabinet. The current MP Dhruvanarayan elected twice from the constituency and this is his third contest from the same seat.

It may be mentioned that Congress has strong hold in Chamarajanagar. Congress candidates elected for 11 times from the constituency.

However, Prasad is yet to decide about his candidature.

BJP leader Venkataswamy said, there are several aspirants but, Prasad is able candidate. We have been asking him to contest. Even the party high command suggested him to contest.
