Six candidates submitted their papers on Day One for filing nomination papers in Karnataka on Tuesday. March 26 is the last day for filing nomination for second phase of Lok Sabha elections.

Mysore constituency saw three nominations of Ayub Khan (INCP), Sandhya P S (SUCI-C) and Anand J J (Cong-I). In Dakshina Kannada, Supreeth Kumar Poojari (Lok Tantrik Janata Dal) and in Mandya Kowdle Chennappa (SUCI-C) filed their papers.

Independent candidate Amrose D Mello, filed his nomination papers for Bangalore South constituency.

The nomination process for Phase 3, in which 14 constituencies in north Karnataka go to polls, will begin on March 28 and close on April 4.
