"Two police teams from Kerala arrived here on December 5 to help us conduct the joint probe. The teams are headed by Kerala North Zone Inspector General of Police Tomin J Thachankary and Superintendent of Police, Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS), P Raju", Joint Commissioner of  Police Alok Kumar told reporters.

The two suspected LeT operatives, T Nazir and Shafaz, who were arrested along the Indo-Bangladesh border in Meghalaya and subsequently handed over by Bangladesh Rifles to the Border Security Force on December 2, were brought here on December 4. A local court remanded them to 14-day police custody the next day.

Nazir is the prime accused in the serial bomb blasts in July 2008 which claimed one life and left 20 others injured, police said.  He is also wanted in connection with several cases in Kerala including the 2005 bus burning case at Kalamassery in Kochi, two murders in Kannur district and the twin blasts at Kozhikode in 2006.

Nazir's role in recruiting Muslim youth for 'jehad' along the Indo-Pak border was revealed by some arrested terror suspects in Kashmir after four Malayalee youths died in army encounters while trying to sneak into PoK in October last year.
