BJP national secretary CT Ravi on Sunday once again reiterated that his party would not commit any injustice on Goa as well as Karnataka in the ongoing dispute between the two states related to the waters of the Mahadayi river.

"The case is in court and what decision the court may give we will follow. Party will not commit injustice on Goa as well as Karnataka," Ravi told a press conference in Panaji. Both Karnataka and Goa have challenged the award of the Mahadayi Water Dispute Tribunal in the apex court.

Ravi, a BJP MLA from Chikmagalur assembly constituency, was in Goa to attend a meeting of the party's state executive committee meeting, which was held in Panaji earlier today.

Ravi also said that the Bharatiya Janata Party was a nationalist party and therefore it treated all states on par and made no distinction between two state entities.
"BJP is a nationalistic party. Goa and Karnataka for the BJP are one and the same," Ravi said.

Commenting on the prospects of the BJP in the 2022 Goa assembly elections, Ravi said that the party was confident of victory.

"Winning might be easy, not difficult," Ravi said.

The senior BJP leader also said that the elections would be contested under the dual leadership of Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and state Bharatiya Janata Party president Sadanand Shet Tanavade.

"Dr. Pramod Sawant is the CM. He is leading the government. Our president Sadanand Tanavade is there (too). We will go into the elections led by these two leaders," Ravi said.
