JOIN USA tribal man has been arrested under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act for sexually assaulting his minor daughter and impregnating her. The 14-year-old girl delivered a baby girl at Cheluvamba Hospital in Mysuru recently.
The 40-year-old suspect is accused of repeatedly raping his daughter under the influence of alcohol and impregnating her.
He threatened the girl with dire consequences if she disclosed the incident to anyone. He is also said to have taken her to Cheluvamba Hospital for delivery where she gave birth to a baby girl on May 9.The suspect’s wife deserted him years ago as he was an alcoholic.
The couple have a son and a daughter. While the woman took the boy with her, the daughter remained with Kumar.
Learning about the incident, His wife lodged a complaint against him at the Hunsur Rural police station.
When contacted, ASP Harish Pandey said that both the baby and the mother would be sent to Bal Mandir after producing them before the Child Welfare Committee in Mysuru.
