Minister Tukaram draws flak as aide carries shoes

Minister for Medical Education E Tukaram drew flak after a video of a Congress worker carrying the minister’s footwear in his hand went viral on Wednesday.

Tukaram, who visited the city for the first time after becoming minister, was at the Kanakadurgamma temple to offer prayers at around 1.30 am. After the visit, the minister forgot his shoes and went and sat in the car parked at the entrance. A party worker, said to be a relative of the minister, placed the shoes near Tukaram’s feet for him to wear.
