Sandalwood actor Darshan faced the wrath of JD(S) workers while he was campaigning for Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in Chamundeshwari Assembly segment on Saturday.

When Darshan visited Naganahalli village, the JD(S) workers waved their party flag at him and shouted slogans against him. They also raised slogans for G T Deve Gowda, the party candidate from the segment. In order to prevent any untoward incident, the police resorted to lathi-charge to disburse the workers. Earlier, the Congress and JD(S) workers were engaged in an altercation.

Darshan commenced his campaign at Kalastavadi and held road shows in 30 villages under the constituency. He urged people to vote for Siddaramaiah. Congress candidate for Varuna Assembly segment Dr Yathindra accompanied Darshan.
