Organic fodder: farmers to get training

Minister for Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Venkatrao Nadagouda said on Wednesday that farmers would be given training for growing organic fodder, reports DHNS from Raichur.

It would be started on a trial basis in Raichur district, the minister toid a press conference here. Farmers can grow fodder organically in front of their houses and in plastic trays on rooftops within 15 days. The minister said stress would be on inland fishing.

The government would provide grants, Rs 15 crore in the budget, for the construction of tanks and for the purchase of fish.
