Police team visits Tejraj's house in Tumakuru, gathers evidence

A team of Vidhana Soudha police officers, visited and investigated, the rented house in Bidarumale extension in Tumakuru  on Thursday where Lokayutka Justice Vishwanath Shetty's assailant  Tejraj Sharma lives.    

Tejraj Sharma stabbed Lokayukta Justice P Vishwanath Shetty in the latter's chambers on Wednesday afternoon. He was subdued and handed over to the jurisdictional Vidhana Soudha police.    

An investigating team of nine police officers headed by Vidhana Soudha inspector B Shankarachar, took a handcuffed Tejraj Sharma to his third floor house in Bidarumale extension.  

They found books pertaining to concentration of the mind, even black magic and some official records in Tejraj's room, all which they have confiscated. They spent over 30 minutes gathering evidence in Tejraj's house.    

It is learnt that the investigating team has questioned Tejraj why he was reading those books and since when. It is also learnt that Tejraj had tied to the door some sort of doll, like a magic charm used to ward off evil eyes.  

The police also questioned the owner of the house Venkatamama and her family members.  

They asked them on what terms the house was rented, whether there was an agreement signed, what Tejraj's work was, and things he had said about his native place.  Later Tejraj was brought to the New Extension police station in Tumakuru.
